On December, 20th 2008 the new built Sonne Lifestyle Resort in Mellau was opened.

The hotels architecture is typically in the style of Vorarlberg and combines this lifestyle with international expertise. The nearby Restaurant “Gasthaus zur Sonne” has also been completely new founded in its traditional style.

The hotel is situated in the region of Bregenzerwald and disposes of 38 superior design rooms as well as 8 penthouse design suites.

The ultimate meeting and greeting point at the resort is the Piano Bar & Lounge. Enjoy a cup of coffee at the early risers breakfast, indulge in a good cup of tea and cake in the afternoon, get ready for cocktail hour and relax with a suitable after dinner drink. This is the ideal location. Attached to the piano bar & lounge you will find our Smoking Club Havanna Club. Last but no least there is the Margret Bischofberger Saal which, together with the Piano Bar & Lounge is the perfect setting for events for up to 300 people.

A well equipped and elegant wellness-ground of more than 16.000 square feet is waiting to provide you with a variety of new sources of energy, with private steam baths, a massage and wellness center that includes a peaceful silence zone and a heated outdoor swimming pool. In the Spa area you will be pampered in an incomarpale way with a new and unique Italian well-care concept "comfort zone" - still the only resort place in Austria!
