Shortly after reaching Minusio you will come to the ESPLANADE HOTEL RESORT & SPA on the right-hand side. It towers majestically over the quiet and delightfully sunny residential district of Locarno, enticing the visitor with its Mediterranean charm. The hotel is approached by the palm-fringed driveway which brings the visitor to the main entrance, revealing the elegant Latin architecture of the late 19th-century building. La Belle Epoque

Our chef and the whole kitchen team not only prepare exquisite meat and fish dishes; they also cater expertly for vegetarians. Fine wines provide the perfect accompaniment to your meal and complement the Mediterranean flavours and aromas. Parts of the almost one hundred-year-old restaurant have been left untouched when renovation has been carried out, giving the room an atmosphere redolent of past times. At a candlelit table you can let the day draw to a pleasant close over a glass of wine. Enjoy your meal!

    Terrasse

    On fine days you can take breakfast on the terrace and enjoy the fine panorama of Lake Maggiore and the Tessin mountains. In fine weather lunch is also served on the terrace. On clear summer evenings you can sit in the mild air long after sunset and enjoy a glass of wine as you watch the evening stillness slowly settle on the villages on the other side of the lake, while in Locarno the nightlife is beginning to get going.
