Round C (CAMPANO): Campano Golf course situated in the urbanisation of “ San Andres” near Chiclana de la Frontera/ Cadiz, Andalusia, was inaugurated in 1985 as a 9 hole golf course. Over 15 years the course was rather unknown. A hot tip only known by insiders of the region. Why is it a hot tip? The original design was made by no one less than Robert Trent Jones senior, the best known golf course designer of all times.
In 2006, the original idea to build 9 more holes and so to have a first class championship course of 18 holes, was retaken and finally realized. The design is made as well for professionals as for amateurs. The saying : “ Difficult Par, but easy Bogey” has been translated by the design of the course. The Club house will by renovated and a new building, housing a restaurant and bar will be built.
The course measures 5.780 mts. from the yellow tees and strikes by his lush vegetation. The first 9 holes are accompanied by a smooth und nearly flat park land course surrounded by wonderful chalets of the “San Andres” urbanisation. It` s necessary to hit the ball long and precise to avoid the conflict with the water hazards and the pine trees. On the second round you can find a lot of olive trees and three big lakes. Large and undulating greens are a big challenge for all players. A champion ship course for all levels.
