The course:
The first taste of an eighteen hole “links” course in the Middle East built along the shores and rolling waves of the Arabian Gulf.

Designed by renowned Swiss Golf Course Architect Peter Harradine the golf course is shaped around a large open lagoon with four sub lagoons all inter- connected.
The front nine measuring 3,559 yards plays ‘Out’ away from the clubhouse, whilst the back nine measuring 3,708 yards returns back ‘In’ around the lagoon. The result is a 7,267yard Par 72 Championship Golf Course.

Originally planned to be built on the flat salt flats bordering the waters edge – some 5 million cubic meters of sand and expert shaping has created an undulating golf course where levels rise and fall from plus one to plus eight meters above sea level.

In keeping with tradition and style of links golf the course features humps, hollows and pot bunkers unique to golf in this region.

Three Golf Clubhouses offer a multitude of off course activities making Al Hamra Golf Club a truly “one stop club”.

Al Hamra Golf Academy is run by a highly experienced team of PGA Qualified Professionals committed to making the game more enjoyable catering for both complete beginners as well as more experienced by sharing their knowledge in swing technique, practice and playing strategies. We pride ourselves on having state of the art facilities that you can take full advantage of. With a fully floodlit 9 hole Academy course and driving range you can work on all aspects of your game.

Zahara's

Zahara's - the main restaurant offers an International menu but with Asian / fusion elements. This modern luxury outlet features a large show kitchen, which is used both as a live cooking station as well as an easy buffet service area for special events.

    Lagoons Sports Bar

    Lagoons Sports Bar is considered the perfect meeting place either before or after golf or just for a casual meal. This all- day dining outlet features a menu of local and International dishes as well as the Chef’s Specials. The Sports Bar Terrace offers spectacular views of the 18th hole and the Arabian Gulf Lagoon and is the perfect venue to discuss the day’s golfing tales.

      Dunes Cafe

      Dunes Cafe located in the Driving Range Clubhouse is a calm and relaxed dining experience offering an optional light and healthy menu as well as an array of international dishes.
